Millennium Promise Alliance Donates About Two Hundred Thousand Dollars Worth Saraya Ethyl Alcohol to Ghana Health Service

Millennium Promise Alliance have donated about 19,040 boxes of Saraya ethyl alcohol worth 200,000 dollars to the Ghana Health Service to support the fight against COVID-19. A short handing over ceremony was organized on Friday, 11th February, 2022 at the Ghana Health Service, Headquarters in Accra.

Present at the handing over ceremony were the Director General of the Ghana Health Service – Dr. Patrick Kuma Aboagye, Executive Director of Millennium Promise – Chief Nathaniel Ebo Nsarko PhD, and the Country Representative of JICA – Mr. Araki Yasumichi.

The Executive Director of Millennium Promise Alliance, Chief Nathaniel Ebo Nsarko PhD, in his remarks stated that the donation was as part of the 1 million PPEs for frontline health workers campaign launched by the MPA to solicit PPEs to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

The donation of the Ethyl hand gel he said was facilitated by MPA’s counterpart, SDGs Promise based in Japan who through their effort got Saraya Company Limited to donate a container full of hand sanitizers to support Ghana in its fight against COVID-19.

In a speech read by Mr. Araki Yasumichi, the Country Representative for JICA on behalf of the President of Saraya Company Limited – Mr. Yusuke Saraya, he expressed his appreciation to SDGs Promise Japan for facilitating the delivery of the hand sanitizers. This donation he said would go a long way to build stronger ties in business and social relation between Ghana and Japan to make the health of Ghanaians better and prosperous.
